Transfer Champion
The recipient of this badge is a UMD staff/faculty member who has gained an understanding of the UMD transfer student population, transfer programs, and transfer policies. They can use this knowledge to be an active transfer advocate within their role or unit on campus.
Program Requirements:
Complete the Transfer Champion Training course in ELMS-Canvas.
The purpose of this training is to help participants:
- build knowledge and awareness of the transfer student population at UMD
- explore current programs and policies related to transfer students
- discover the unique needs and assets of transfer students
- identify next steps for enhancing the transfer student experience at UMD
